This service is for if you are looking for a specific Birth, Marriage or Death (BMD) Certificate or other BMD record, but you have not been able to find it online. We also can get legally authenticated copies of Birth Certificates for you.
You cannot access all Irish BMD records freely online. Some records are held in various physical archives or in subscription databases. Each archive has its own rules on how to get access and has different procedures to get copies. We are regular visitors to and members of the many archives located in Dublin. And we have access to all relevant subscription databases. We know exactly where to search and how to go about getting copies – if the record exists.
For legal purposes, e.g. for obtaining Irish Citizenship, you will need an authenticated copy of a Birth Certificate proving that a parent or grandparent was born in Ireland. We can get these for you.
Via the link below you can request us to search for and/or get a copy of the record you require. If you have already identified the document, and only need us to get a copy, please provide us with the relevant references. Otherwise we will quote you for search, which you have already completed, as well as for obtaining the documents. Upon receipt of your request, we will review your information and endeavor to provide you with a quote within 1-2 working days. You will have to make full payment before we start our search and/or get copies of the requested documents. If you commission us for search, please note that in some cases BMD records never existed or have been lost. We might not in all cases be able to find your record. If we do, we use standard post for any hard-copy documents. If you require any express service, please let us know in advance, as there will be an additional charge for this.
